Overblot was once considered a rare, temporary phenomenon-an overload of magic and negative emotion that could be reversed with the right intervention. But something has changed.
One day, a former Overblot student relapses without warning. There's no sign of emotional distress or magical instability beforehand-just an immediate return to their Overblotted form. Worse yet, they don't return to normal. No matter how much magic is used to subdue them, their Overblot state lingers.
Then, it starts happening to others.
