Prologue: The Night Everything Changed The streets of Shibuya were silent. Not the peaceful kind of silence-the eerie, suffocating quiet that follows disaster. The once-bustling city, known for its flashing billboards and packed sidewalks, was now a wasteland of collapsed buildings, burned-out cars, and shattered glass. Yuji Itadori stood on the edge of a rooftop, staring down at the destruction below. His uniform was torn, stained with blood-some his, some not. His fingers were still shaking from what had happened. The Shibuya Incident. A battle that had left scars deeper than any wound. He clenched his jaw, forcing himself to stay on his feet. He wanted to collapse, to shut his eyes and pretend none of this had happened. But he couldn't. Because the moment he let his guard down, the images came rushing back. Gojo-sealed away, trapped in the Prison Realm. Nanami-gone, his last words still echoing in Yuji's mind. Nobara-her body hitting the ground, blood pooling beneath her. And Sukuna- Yuji's stomach twisted. He had lost control. Again. And because of that, people had died. "Yuji." A voice broke the silence. Yuji turned to see Megumi standing a few feet away, his face unreadable. His uniform was just as wrecked, his left sleeve torn, dried blood marking his collar. He looked exhausted, but his eyes were steady. "You're alive," Yuji said, his voice hoarse. Megumi nodded. "Yeah." They stood there for a moment, neither of them speaking. There was too much to say, and yet, no words that could fix anything. Megumi finally exhaled. "We need to move." Yuji let out a dry laugh. "Move where? Look at this place. What's left?" Megumi met his gaze, his voice quiet but firm.

After the devastating events of the Shibuya Incident, Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara struggle to find a sense of normalcy in their lives. With so much loss and uncertainty looming over them, the trio leans on each other for support, trying to navigate the aftermath while still being just teenagers. The story begins with Yuji and Megumi spending the night together in Yuji's dorm, waking up unsure of what to do with their day. Their casual conversation takes a meaningful turn when they talk about their futures-what they would want to do if they weren't Jujutsu Sorcerers. Megumi encourages Yuji to think about it seriously, and later that night, as they watch the stars, their bond deepens. An accidental kiss catches them both off guard, leaving them confused yet curious about their feelings. The tension between them comes to a head when Megumi, after much internal conflict, visits Yuji's dorm to talk about what happened. Though he struggles with expressing himself, Yuji's patience allows him to open up, leading to a conversation where Megumi admits he didn't hate the kiss-and maybe, deep down, he didn't mind it at all. Finally, after spending another quiet moment alone, Yuji directly asks Megumi what he meant when he said he "didn't hate" the kiss. The moment escalates, and after hesitating, Megumi finally makes a choice-leaning in and kissing Yuji, fully and deliberately. It's tentative but real, and for the first time, neither of them second-guesses it. Now, with their feelings out in the open, they have to figure out what comes next. Do they keep moving forward? Do they define what they are? Or do they simply let things unfold naturally? Whatever happens, one thing is clear-they aren't the same as before.
