Young Aveline wakes alone, deep in the forest with no memories of how she got there or where she's from. A chance encounter with a kind stranger saves the young one's life, and gives her a second chance at family.

Aveline, or Ava, now 22, is content to let sleeping dogs lie; untangling the web of her past will not change the outcome. Or will it?
