Work of essays based on our ways of thinking in modern society, written in an eye-opening perspective of a young teenage girl learning to understand the world. Questioning the systems we build but also personal stories that made me the critical thinker I am today. Why did our generation radicalize? Is that something that has happened before (yes!), what should we believe in a world in which artificial intelligence becomes undeniable. Should we think critically of our own believes, even when that destroys the entire way we thought of it before?

Our Excruciating Modernity
Our Modern world is excruciatingly flawed. This collection of short essays shares a 16-year-old's views on diverse aspects of Modernity, including social media's perverse effect on the self, the importance of nature, the alarming state of public education, or even death. First, you will find yourself confronted with critical revelations, thought-provoking ideas, and acute observations. Then, you will be inspired to develop your own intimate antidote to the many modernity-induced maladies we all suffer from, such as a sense of paralysing emptiness, the cynicism that stems from a deliberate exposure to overwhelming quantities of information, and the frustration of living in monochromatic megalopolises. But, ultimately, it is the "how" that you will remember, for this piece outlines some of the ways in which we can all, as contributors to, and members of, our present-day society, help build a world that favours living full and fulfilling lives whilst transcending the petty and all-too-human things that make up our existences.Abgeschlossene Geschichte

Seeking Serenity
Imagine a girl who at the age of thirteen is a drug addict. Now imagine that same person a few years later as a student at MIT... I believe 9 out of 10 people reading this will not be able to do so. It is not because you don't have a wild imagination, but because our societies have made our heads so biased to what they think is proper, that our heads get stuck to stereotypes and prejudices. Every other way of thinking seems wrong. But, there always are a few rebels. The rebels who define the world as they see it. The rebels who don't let others define them. The rebels who break the barriers. The rebels for whom the sky, is just the lower limit. But the people look at them from a sight of disgust. They forget that these people have not had a simple life.... Bring in that thirteen year old a drug addict who graduated from the top of her class at MIT. That, my friend is me, Louissa Marx... What happens when good people are put into an evil place? Do they triumph or does the situation dominate their past history and morality? P.S- Beautiful cover by @_brilliant . I'm not sure how to start this; to be honest, I'm not even sure how to write this. If there's one place we can start, my brain, the most fragile yet sacred thing I've ever owned. Again, I'm unsure how or where to start with this, but let's start by being honest. I think a lot, and I'm sure you do too, so let's think together. (this is an original piece)
Terraria: Another Day Under the Glass
'Death never stops surprising you.' A sentiment Aria knows all too well. Her world on its surface is perfect. A completely enclosed ecosystem protected from the nuclear winter of the Outside World. No sickness, no famine, nothing to worry about. Nothing that is except for Spectre, the computer system that determines who lives and dies annually based on their importance to society. Somehow everyone around her seems to cope, but seeing as how Spectre has taken every member of her family, Aria struggles to fall in line with the status quo. Whether it's pressure from the powers that be, her first potential love, or full on revolution, Aria seems to be pulled in every direction, each one with drastic consequences, and no clue which way to go.Abgeschlossene Geschichte
