THE WINNER WHO STAYED | squid game, 2015
In 2015, Hwang In-ho entered the games not for greed, but for love. With a sick, pregnant wife clinging to life and hospital bills mounting beyond hope, In-ho sees the mysterious game as his last desperate chance. But as he steps into the brutal arena where 456 players compete for billions, he quickly learns that survival demands more than strength - it demands sacrifice. Among the chaos, In-ho finds unlikely allies - like a firefighter haunted by his mistake, a teenage girl too lost for her own good, as well as a K-pop artist hoping to prove herself. Together, they navigate deadly childhood games turned into instruments of terror. Trust becomes currency. Loyalty becomes risk. But with each round, the question looms larger: Can In-ho truly protect those he calls friends - or will survival demand he betray them? As the games grow bloodier and the line between right and wrong blurs, In-ho must face the cost of living... and what he's willing to become to escape.
As the front man of a deadly survival game, it is In-ho's job to make sure the plan goes accordingly, and to do so, he must portray as an ordinary player in the game, but there seems to be a distraction along the way as he encounters a former champion, Seong Gi-Hun. He didn't seem to care at first; he just had to do his job. However, he slowly starts to develop feelings, which interfere with his mission. Will he stick to the plan or follow his heart?
