Born Again

It starts with a cigarette, as it always seems to between them now.
Shiraishi is 32 and living on his own for the first time in his life. Going from a street orphan to nothing more than a product to sell, to the blade you fear in the dark, he has no clue how to live a normal life. He's a dog, a guard, a broken sentinel.
He starts with a job, and a wardrobe, and goes from there. If that wardrobe consists of a lot of women's clothes, who's to blame him these days?
Kiryu is 37 and trying to get his life together not for the first time, but with more purpose this time. Leaving the family was one thing sure, but raising a child was something else entirely. Haruka was all he thought about these days; how to raise her, how to love her, how to give her a better life than he ever had. He was determined to give her a good life, and if that meant a man in six-inch heels was also in his life, then so be it.
Truthfully, he was a bit too attached to the man in the first place.
