This is the story of Remmington Costa. A tiny, freckled twelve year old girl with Italian roots and a foggy future. A dark-haired joker of a thirteen year old trying to fit in with her friends. A bold fourteen year old, trying to adjust to her body. A laughing, trusting, sweet fifteen year old with a future to talk about. A taken, happy, sixteen year old in love. And a broken, dark-eyed, seventeen year old who's path ahead has been twisted and changed to the point where it winds up more unclear than it was when she was twelve.

And does it have to do with Benjamin Walker--the sweet-faced, skinny boy in nothing but a towel that Remy met on the first day? Does it have to do with the fact that he's gone?
But, this is a story of a girl. This is a coming-of-age story. And we all know how those end right? We'll wait for Remy to finally be that content, experienced eighteen-year-old, the dark-haired beauty who takes her past struggles in stride, knows what she wants and she can get it, and is not loved by all, but loved enough, in the least.
We can wait for that, the prophesied ending... But can Remy? How can you wait for something if you're less than sure that it will come?
