The Battle of Thessala left the Ultramarines crippled and humbled, worst of all their Primarch was nearly killed, only prevented by the immediate actions of the surviving marines. For 10,000 years Guilliman sat in stasis, immobile, and unable to act. In this degraded state Chaos pressed their advantage, stretching its tendrils into his mind attempting to corrupt him for their own desires.

Renegade (Aquila, Book 3)
[Sequel to 'Imperium'] Following the successful defense of Alamarri and the sudden withdrawal of Hepharion's Chaos Marines, Caius returned to Macragge in time to see the return of his Primarch and receive a new mission from his Captain: find Hepharion and bring him down, no matter the cost, and chase down and secure the remains of the ancient Titan project. At first, resources seem scarce with the Black Crusade taking much of the attention and firepower of the Ultramarines. However, help comes in an unexpected form when an Inquisitor's acolyte appears with an unexpected offer for the men of the Twentieth. Across the stars, Bahad is called before the Council of Farseers of his Craftworld and desperately pleads his case for his alliance with Caius and his hunt for Hepharion. However, this falls on deaf ears when the Craftworld, concerned about his continued association with the Imperium, orders him into a temporary arrest to await further judgment. While in isolation, plagued by his visions of what shall happen without his involvement, he, too, receives an unexpected visitor: a Harlequin Solitaire with a keen interest on seeing him reunited with his Ultramarine. Commander Caius Atelinas is many things: angel, demon, soldier, saint, and above all, an Ultramarine. A distinguished veteran of uncounted battles, his squad is often sent on some of the most dangerous missions to defend the Imperium of Man from the enemies of Mankind no matter where they show their faces. When he is sent on a mission to retrieve a stranded Tech-Priest on an isolated world at the edge of Imperium Space, he finds himself confronted with something much more dangerous than a downed space craft. The Gruefall Crisis. A WH40K Story.
The year is M42. Roboute Guilliman's Indomitus crusade is in full force. Deep with in Segmentum Pacificus a tide of green flesh painted in deathskulls' blue are stirring, preparing to strike at the fifth most important drydock within the galactic sector. A system the Imperium of Man cannot lose, for the price of a system like this falling into xenos hands are better left to the imagination. Every man, woman and child will fight and work in order to stave of this invasion. While a small group of the Deathwatch Astartes has been sent to aid them. The Orks are not as dim as they seem though, so the fighting will be brutal and the collateral damage high but one thing stands above all. Gruefall cannot fall. Also it is my first ever writing project so be kind :).
The Warfield (A warhammer 40k story)
It is the 41st Millennium and the Imperium of Man only knows war. Chaos threatens to topple it, aliens and Xenos come at it from all sides. There is only war. But for the group under control of Imperial Inquisitor Haydrax Ishamael Ignatio Jacobeam the Fourth, they face the true enemy of the Imperium: the forces of Chaos and the Heretics that follow the Ruinous powers. But after a stop at Tarsis Ultra brings them into a warzone spanning a planet, much like many more. But admist the ruins and desolation, one of their own remembers the horror that awaits in the planet. Warhammer 40k: a long journey
Questions often do not produce answers, the curiosity behind it is what motivates the progress to search for them. That's why he's so curious about everything. Why? Why is he here? why did they bring him to life? why is he so different from the other? Sometimes, he wondered about it, he wanted to ask his father, the Emperor...but maybe, maybe he doesn't need to. A story of a "man" who has no other choice but to fight and suffer alongside his people throughout history. Will the endless cruelty of the universe subdued him? Will the boundless madness of the dark gods and creatures of the warps break him down? He doesn't know, in fact, he doesn't know a single answer...but right now, it doesn't matter to him anymore. The galaxy is still burning, Tasks are at hand and will he be able to finish his father's wish? He'll find out on a long journey. Guilliman leads the forces of humanity in a desperate struggle for survival and liberated worlds after worlds, alas not every corner of the galaxy could be saved. The Lamenters chapter, what few remained that is, desperately evacuated what they can on an isolated sector known as Cadere. On the face of certain annihilation, a strike force from one of the legendary founding chapters, the imperial Fist, complimented with the aid of adeptus custodes manages to reach the isolated chapter. Saving what they can, the fleeing imperial forces gambled everything they have and escaped through a warp storm. As if the Emperor wills it, the imperial armada miraculously survives. Though they arrived into a galaxy they know nothing of.
