Elena lives with her father John Gilbert, who's brother died last year. John and Elena both kill vampires, as well as the other secret council members. On her first day of school, she meets sexy Stefan and Damon Salvatore...but they have a past, and Elena thinks she knows their secret. They're vampires. Elena was raised to hate and kill vampires, but will she fall for one of them? Or will her hate towards their kind over come the love she might feel?
