I keep trying to open the door but it won't budge. I look around the car to see if there is another way out. Of course there isn't, idiot. I scoot to the other side of the car and try to open the door but it's also locked. He snaps his head at me and glares.
"Well open it." I beg panicked.
"You are my girl now." Jake says as if that is an explanation.

Their past catches up to them. They have to face reality and stop trying to hide the past. What they didn't expect was for the past to catch up so quickly.
