Seukryu and Seunghyo were childhood best friends, but their bond blurred into a "what are we?" situation throughout high school and into their first year of college. Seukryu received a full-ride scholarship to Berkeley and left for the U.S. before Seunghyo could confess his feelings. He worked part-time jobs, saving up to visit her in her fourth year.
When Seunghyo finally arrived, he brought nostalgic gifts from home-among the things were her favorite comics and a heated blanket. However, a night of drinking led to an unexpected encounter, leaving them both waking up to an irreversible change. The morning after, a message on Seukryu's phone hinted at a date with another man. Heartbroken, Seunghyo left without hearing her explanation, ignoring all her attempts to reach him afterward.
Unbeknownst to him, Seukryu was pregnant. Determined to succeed, she accepted a job offer and kept the child, with her best friend Mouem as her only confidante. Mouem helped her hide the pregnancy from both their families by signing up for a paramedic certification in the US to cover up the reason for her departure. Years passed. Seukryu built a life, even finding love again with a man who accepted her daughter. But when her company restructured and her landlord sold her home, cracks formed in her relationship. Her growing insecurities and joblessness strained things to the point of no return. After a bitter argument, she broke off the engagement. Left with no choice, she returned home, unaware that the past she had buried was about to surface once more.

A Decade of Lost Time and Lingering Memories The night you shared was never meant to be more than a fleeting connection. But even as you both drifted apart, the memory of that night and the feelings you couldn't shake lingered in the corners of your hearts. Ten years passed before fate brought you back together, only for it to feel like a second first time-awkward, unsure, but somehow familiar. The thought of him had never truly left your mind, and neither had his thoughts of you. And yet, after all the time apart, the hurt still echoed. "She waited ten years for you, Seungcheol hyung. She stayed, knowing the risks, even considered us. She forgave you after everything-after losing her womb, after all the pain-and you still think you're the victim?! When did you stop loving and start obsessing?" The words hit like a slap, raw and unforgiving. "I need a break," you choked out, your voice trembling. "I can't do this anymore. Not like this. Not after everything." Seungcheol's heart clenched as the weight of your words sank in. But all he could do was scream into the universe. "Why us? Why does it always have to be us? What did we do to deserve this kind of test? Why does every piece of happiness we find have to be ripped away? Why can't we just be happy for once?!" ⚠︎ English isn't my first language. ⚠︎ I've shipped random idols and actresses for the plot, nothing's related to their personal lives and neither do I personally ship them. If someone had told Seulgi three months ago that she'd end up sharing a house with her mother's new fiancé and his daughter, she would've laughed. Or screamed. Or both. Now? Well-she's still screaming. But more internally. Mostly. "I swear to God, if you touch my skincare again, Jaeyi-" "Relax! I was just borrowing your toner. And serum. And... maybe the snail essence. Your pores look rich, I'm trying to invest." Seulgi clenched her jaw, gripping the bathroom doorframe like it personally betrayed her. "Your investment plan is going to end in hospital bills." Living under the same roof as Jaeyi was like signing up for emotional whiplash. One moment she was laughing at Jaeyi doing a ridiculous dance in the kitchen with a burnt pancake on her head; the next, she was staring too long when Jaeyi came home in a sundress that shouldn't be legal. It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair. Because Jaeyi wasn't just annoying. Or pretty. Or funny in a way that made Seulgi want to punch a pillow. Jaeyi was her. The kind of chaos Seulgi never asked for but somehow couldn't stop orbiting around. "You're staring again," Jaeyi teased one evening, perched on the kitchen counter, eating grapes like a Greek goddess with no regard for personal space. "No, I'm regretting my life choices," Seulgi deadpanned, turning away, ears turning traitorously red. Jaeyi tilted her head. "Sure you are. Just like how you 'regretted' sitting next to me during movie night. Or how you 'regretted' holding my hand during that thunderstorm." "That was for safety," Seulgi snapped, grabbing a water bottle just to have something to hold that wasn't Jaeyi's smug face. "Oh? So if another thunderstorm happens, you'll hold someone else's hand?" Silence.

Rachel Fernandez, 18, is a disciplined classical violinist studying abroad in Seoul at a prestigious arts academy. Her life is structured: wake up early, rehearse, attend class, study, repeat. Her dream is to earn a scholarship to Juilliard and finally prove to her distant parents that all the sacrifices were worth it. But her careful rhythm is disrupted when she's assigned a semester-long collaboration project with none other than Kim Seungmin, rising star vocalist and guitarist from the globally famous group Stray Kids-now doing special studies at her school between comebacks. Rachel knows who he is-who doesn't? But she has no interest in idols, fame, or fans. She's here to make music, not headlines. Seungmin, on the other hand, is exhausted from the chaos of idol life. Burnout is creeping in, and this school project is his label's idea of a "creative break." He expects an easy ride. But Rachel is focused, opinionated, and unimpressed. The two clash hard at first-her classical training vs. his instinctive musicality. But as they start writing music together, something changes. Seungmin starts to rediscover the joy of creating music for the sake of feeling, not performance. And Rachel? She finds herself letting go, just a little, and hearing music in a new way-for the first time, it's not about perfection. It's about connection. Late-night jam sessions, heated arguments over lyrics, lingering glances between takes-what starts as a cold partnership slowly ignites into something more. But dating an idol is never simple. Rumors swirl. A leaked photo. A fan backlash. A choice: stay in her safe world... or risk it all for someone who makes her heart race like never before.

A sunshine girl. A stone-faced genius. One mission that just might change everything. Nora Johns believes in smiles, sparkles, and second chances. The chirpy, creative girl with a heart full of glitter is the type to write strangers' names in her journal just because they looked sad. So when she gets paired with Choi Seunghyun-the top student with the icy stare, sharp tongue, and absolutely zero facial expressions-for a semester-long mentorship project, she sees it as more than bad luck. She sees it as a mission. Operation: Make Him Smile. Seunghyun doesn't care for bubbly girls or forced friendships. He prefers his silence, his books, and his hoodie pulled over his head. But Nora... she's loud. She's weird. She's everywhere. And somehow, she's always trying to make him laugh-with terrible jokes, cheesy pick-up lines, or glitter-stuffed sticky notes in his textbook. What starts off as a silly game becomes something more when Nora learns that Seunghyun's frown might be hiding something heavier than just grumpiness. And as Seunghyun begins letting her in-grudgingly, clumsily-he starts to realize that maybe, just maybe, the girl he once found annoying is the light he didn't know he needed. A heart-fluttering story of sunshine and shadows, late-night texts, accidental hand brushes, and a smile worth falling for.
