Struggling with undiagnosed bipolar disorder, addiction, and the suffocating expectations of her family, she spends her nights sneaking out to underground clubs and her mornings numbing herself just to make it through the day. Her grades are slipping, the tabloids are watching, and the only people who seem to get her are her best friend Sasha, an aspiring director, and Luca, a musician who shares her reckless habits. Then there's Camila, the sharp-tongued artist Isla can't stop thinking about, even as she finds herself falling into something dangerous with Luca.

As her world spirals, Isla is forced to confront painful truths-about her mental health, her sexuality, and whether she wants to live the life scripted for her or write her own. But breaking free means risking everything, including the love of the parents who never truly saw her.
