It was the voice I noticed first. Smooth, a little amused, and low enough to draw me out of myself.
Then I saw him.
Dirty blonde hair that looked like waves crashing down the sides of his face, and freckles like splattered paint across his fair skin. A silver hoop in his nose, another in his brow, both catching the light. And those eyes... electric blue, staring into my green ones with intensity.
