Glorious Evolution

Death, that's all Aeloria could see around her-fire, ash, and death. The war was dying down, with the people of the Undercity losing when they had seen it. There lies their mother on the bridge, blood smeared all over her face from where Aeloria's brother Aiden held her sobbing, begging for her to wake up, seconds later he collapsed on top of his mother with a large hole now in his chest as well. Everything was happening in slow motion, her ears were ringing and bleeding; looking around, she could see random bodies piled up on top of each other on the bridge. Fear struck her to her core causing her to freeze up as she looked down at the people she loved most lying in front of her, dead. Looking back up she came face to face with an enforcer. More fear gripped her as she looked down the barrel of the enforcer's gun. She wasn't ready, she was only eleven years old and her brother sixteen but that didn't stop the cruelty the Enforcers displayed. The Enforcer looked down the barrel aimed between the child's eyes, letting out a sinister snicker, watching as she trembled. Then he appeared out of nowhere from behind the Enforcer, a very large man with shaggy hair and a thick beard holding large steel gauntlets, her saving grace.
