Mature
a story in which a girl falls in love with life.

Milana Valenscia has had enough of merely surviving. Ladened by anxiety and depression, her lips are perpetually bitten raw, her cuticles are tender and bloodied, and dark circles reside underneath her eyes. When she starts therapy, she finds herself addressing the deepest parts of herself, vulnerable and open to the support of her therapist.

As her mental health begins to bloom, Milana opens up to not just life, but the possibility of love, friendship, and connections she never thought possible. With the support of her new therapist, Mila finds herself flourishing under the protentional of a new relationship, surrounded by comradeships that help her rediscover the joy of living.

It's never just sunshine, and rainbows, it's also withering in the grip of her anxiety, its drowning in the weight of her depression. Through it all, Milana gets to enjoy the efflorescence of life, from the tender budding, the vibrant blooming, the quiet dormancy, and, ultimately, to the withering death.

This isn't just a romantic love story, but a story about friendships and living life. Mostly, it's about learning how to cope healthily with anxiety and depression.
