Asta has never belonged. Born a hybrid, an unbound, unable to shift, and abandoned by her mother on her eighteenth birthday, she is nothing but an outcast in her pack. The only person who understands her is Shane-the only other werewolf who shares her fate. When Asta reluctantly attends the Alpha's party as Shane's guest, she stumbles upon a truth she never expected-she is the fated mate of Alpha Lucien. Lucien has spent years waiting for her, and he has no intention of letting her go. With the pull of destiny between them and the weight of Asta's past threatening to drive them apart, will she finally find where she belongs, or will fear keep her running forever? ___________________________ "You're the Alpha?" I gasped, the undeniable pull between us making my stomach twist. He chuckled, the sound rich and full of amusement. "You don't even know who your own Alpha is?" His fingers brushed a stray strand of hair from my face, the touch sending a shiver down my spine. His gaze locked onto mine, and for a moment, I swore the colors in his eyes shifted-blending, swirling, mesmerizing. "I've waited so long for you. What's your name?" His voice was a low growl, thick with possession. "I'm Asta." The name left my lips like a confession, my body bracing for the sting of rejection. For him to sneer, to turn his back, to cast me aside like I was nothing. But he stilled instead. His expression shifted, realization had hit. "The Unbound Wolf... the one who can't shift." I expected disgust. Pity. A cruel dismissal. Instead, he pulled me into a fierce embrace, his arms unyielding. It was too much. The weight of it all crashed over me, suffocating, overwhelming. The second he loosened his grip, I ran-a foolish choice, really. I couldn't shift. He could. I barely made it over the fence before-bam! The impact sent me sprawling. He had tackled me with terrifying ease. Warm breath ghosted against my ear as he pinned me down. "Running so soon?"

FOR THE DETAILED DESCRIPTION, READ PROLOGUE. As the description was too lengthy. i couldn't write it here. :) _______________________________ "Sera, I am not the one to repeat my words. So you better say yes in front of the whole kingdom when I ask you to mark me," Damien said, glaring at me. "Never," I spat. "I will never mark you, you fucking hybrid," I said with all the anger inside me. "Then you leave me no choice," he said as his eye color shifted from hazel to a deep crimson red. His vampire side had taken over. He took a step closer, and my heart started pounding in my chest. I knew exactly what was going to happen next. This time, it was his vampire side. Last time, it was his wolf. Each time I resisted him, he hurt me, made me regret it. And now I knew he was going to compel me, force the answer he wanted out of me. I quickly shut my eyes tightly so he couldn't use his power against me. There was no point in running, I was already injured, already weak. A cold, dark laugh filled the room, sending a shiver down my spine. "My, my, look how afraid you are, my Sera," he mocked. I could feel him getting closer, his presence suffocating. Suddenly, he yanked my hair back, hard. I screamed in pain, but I refused to open my eyes. "Be my good girl and open your eyes, Seraphina," he commanded, his voice low and dangerous. "Never," I growled in defiance. I couldn't believe the Moon Goddess had mated me to this monster. I despised him. Every inch of my soul hated him. "Give me all the pain you want, but I will never obey you," I spat, my voice filled with hatred. He chuckled darkly. "Then, as you wish," he murmured. I barely had time to process his words before sharp pain pierced my neck. His fangs sank into my flesh with full force, tearing through my skin. I let out a blood-curdling scream as agony burned through me. My eyes snapped open involuntarily, locking onto his, and in that moment, I realized I had made a terrible mistake.
