After a humiliating retreat at the hands of a renegade coworker and his sentient cretin, J would come upon her master some vast distance from the ruins where she had conducted operations. She dashed over to them, convinced that they had heard her pleas for help. The humans would be left baffled upon her arrival, and quickly among the intellectuals of the expeditionary team, they devise a plan to handle their newest "asset," where the responsibility would fall on a young, stubborn technician, Maxwell Watts.
Where the boy would learn about the echoes of humanity a machine possesses.
Story takes heavy influence from works like Internecion Cube and Half-Life.
Episodes in chapter titles correspond to the timeframe set to canon MD.
This is my first time writing a fanfiction here! Don't expect perfection.

(Note to the reader: some of the lore in this AU may seem wacky and even a little cringe at first, but as per the title, I, along with a few friends of mine, intended this AU to push the limits of the Murder Drones storyline to the fullest extent possible. I tried my best to give realistic explanations for everything that happens. My friends gave me prompts for lore and I wove them into the story as seamlessly as I could. Also, I would like to mention that there are mentions of abortion, domestic abuse and toxic relationships. Please enjoy this in a safe and healthy way. She greatly struggles to fit in on a new planet as most of the robots are very different from those in Copper 9. One day, she met a drone much taller than the worker drones and about an average height of 151.9 cm (Bigger than the female disassembly drones, but not the male ones). He goes by the name of Sven, and he's going to help her learn the ways of living as a part of the worker society & the R.D.S. aka the Robotic Defense System. Then, she would meet up with other members of the team, and someday become friends with them. Could this be the only way she could move on from her past? or not? Reminders 1.
