A dark group known as The Dark Eclipse seeks to use this magic for their own sinister purposes. Makarov, the guild master, sends Natsu, Lucy, Erza, and Gray on a mission to stop them.

After facing numerous challenges and enemies, including Darian, a powerful member of The Dark Eclipse, the group finally reaches the ancient temple where the magic is hidden. There, they confront Lira, another member of the group, and manage to defeat her. The mages successfully seal the Rebirth Magic to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands, ensuring that life and death remain untouched.
