CALVARY: The Forsaken Homeland

I remember everything. The chatter in the classroom was ordinary and forgettable, yet I can still place every voice. The sky hung low, choked with fog and rain that wouldn't stop. It shouldn't rain like that. Not here. Not this time of year. Not ever. I just wanted a normal day. A little fun. To make it home before dark. But something cracked. Like the sky just split itself open. Like Earth unleashed hell.

Why is this happening to us? Why only us? Why now, when we're just kids? Helpless, unready, and incapable? I don't understand. I don't. So I pray every passing day. I pray like someone's listening. I pray to the one who died at Calvary.I pray we haven't been forsaken.
