In this fantasy-horror epic, a toymaker and his hunchback companion explore a nightmarish gothic landscape in search of a lost magic artifact that is said to have the ability to bring the dead back to life. Unbeknownst to them, a powerful dark lord is also in search of this artifact in order to harness its power for his own purpose.

I'm a screenwriter who has never written a novel/novella or anything in narrative fiction before, so go easy on me. I'm not even sure if this is any good but I thought I'd post chapters as I finish rough drafts of them to see if people even enjoy reading it or not. Anyway, here it is! Hopefully it's not total bullshit. This is my first stab at this sort of thing so I'll only continue posting chapters if and when anyone expresses interest in reading more. A strange town that's only getting stranger as packs of werewolves arrive. they are only a precursor to what is coming. Mages, and more will soon be arriving in silver-spruce, any of them a potentially life threatening danger to him. But...if the boy keeps his head down and tries to avoid attention, than maybe just maybe, he can survive. Sadly for him, one of those wolves is claiming the part of town he happens to live in as her territory. And the boy has never been particularly good at keeping his head down in the first place. (This is a completed first draft of this story, I will eventually be uploading the second draft which is wildly different, less using the same bones as this first draft, more just a few of its organs. Ie. characters, location, and themes, But only bits and pieces of this drafts plot.) Our main character, Romero Porcupine, decided that a change of scenery would be a nice decision for himself, after he had experienced a traumatizing event in his life. So, he decided to go and live in a nice, quiet town. It is said to be amazing. The townsfolk are supposedly nice. The scenery is amazing. There does seem to be a little bit of noise at night, but that is normal. Right? I mean, who would not love to live next to the woods in a town that has a "Wolf Problem," whatever that means, AM I RIGHT??? No but seriously, he is a bit concerned for his well-being, and along with trying to keep his past and his job a secret from the town, he is trying to figure out how to process some new... information... he gets about the world he lives in. (if anyone wants to continue my stories make sure you tag it burningsnowman) I struggle with finishing my novels so I thought hey why not throw them all into one book... This book (not plural) doesn't just stick to one background it changes consistently leaving it impossible to figure out what might happen next. Also, some storeys end midway, therefore it leaves you frustrated but in a good funny way and you could even make an ending yourself. This novel is pretty much full of books I find to be a disappointment or non-continuable therefore when I make another crappy book it will be right here for all to see(oh wait that means your seeing how crappy my writing is.) But no my writings is fairly decent and I promise I will have you intoxicated in my stories. oh and also there may be mistakes purely because they're not finished. (I really don't know what genre this should be)
