It was once deemed impossible for mankind to achieve space travel yet that was proven wrong. On January 16th 2980 the U.N.G succeeded in creating a space craft that was capable of traveling through space at hyper rates and then a year later they made an FTL drive for Faster Than Light jumps through space. The year is 2989, the U.N.G is making final preparations to launch the first FTL craft into space towards the new recently discovered planet Zygia. There is confirmed life on the planet and the U.N.G hope to communicate with the locals and colonise the planet if possible.




Though it seems that the locals aren't too happy with another species landing on their homeworld.All Rights Reserved

It is estimated that earth has 2 and a half year to prepare themselves. So the USA gathers four fourteen year old kids from five different countries and sends them into outer space. Earth and humanity were saved, and the little planet to thank for their salvation was named Umbra. Alice is a xenoarchaeologist, her passion in life has always been the study of ancient cultures, and now she has the opportunity to study the most ancient one of them all. The very one that modern Human civilization was built on. Alice and her boyfriend accepted a posting on the famous and ancient ship, the U.S.S.A Umbra.

It will feature similar plots to the OG NHS by Minorou and the fanfics by other creators I have the pleasure to read. With this as my first English fanfic novel, please don't be too harsh.
