The world was only told that the princess got married since Izuku's name wasn't released to the public. That is until Izuku got his revenge on UA (the people who betrayed him.) and showed them that he was stronger than ever and that he was also a prince. Izuku's life has been rough as well as impatiently robbed of all fun and excitement. Ever since he was announced Quirkless, he was the underdog as he was forced to undergo discrimination as well as bullying as he focused on his dream. TO BECOME A HERO. But unfortunately, due to some events to prevent him from ever becoming one (Thanks Katsuki) Izuku was forced to leave his hometown of Musutafu Japan, and head to a more remote town called Kuoh Town. It was covered completely by mountains as well as hiding sinister beings inside. Just because he had the tendency to write any quirk he saw down they outed him as a traitor.
