"Oh. Yeah." Crowley shuffled his feet, looking surprisingly boyish. "Come to New York with me tomorrow?" Aziraphale blinked. "Why?" "To see how Warlock is doing," Crowley said, as if that was obvious. "Warlock?" He blinked again, and Crowley looked annoyed. Unfortunately what came out of his mouth was, "You were the one who suggested killing the boy." "It wasn't personal." Crowley took off his dark glasses, apparently the better to glare at him. "He's still our kid." "B-but, Crowley, he's not our kid," Aziraphale said helplessly, wondering if Crowley was going insane or if he was. "You're a terrible father for an angel," Crowley said, accusingly. "I'm a demon, and I make a far better mother." --- Aziraphale is almost certain that Crowley is only being perverse. Apparently my title was too long: Five Miracles Aziraphale Performed Accidentally and One that was Entirely Intentional Only inexperienced angels will become so overwhelmed with feeling that they accidentally perform a miracle. Doing so is laughable. Aziraphale would never! Except that he has... five times now. Every time when he was around the demon Crowley. Why on God's green Earth would a demon make an angel feel so strongly that he would perform accidental miracles? He knew he was a vile creature. He was depraved by nature, doomed to serve the purpose of lust and sin. No, Crowley certainly wasn't a stranger to those feelings. Hunger, desire, want. He had been designed to inflame them. This body he'd been given, temptation incarnate. Yet, he'd only ever experienced them himself for one other being, one single creature, the one and only he could never have. He was no stranger to longing, either. He'd been pining for so long he could have filled a whole damn forest! Millennia of waiting, wanting, loving from afar.
