Canada has been noticing things... different things. At night he hears a soft growl, and during the day he feels a connection pulling him towards the antique mirror in the attic...? This all started happening when he decided to help Australia collect his old things from Britains home and they entered the attic. Canada doesn't know how to stop this... he feels like he's slowly being driven insane, but he can't tell anyone. They don't take him seriously enough to listen.

There is many things we keep a secret, for many differemt reasons. We all have secrets, big or small. America is no exception. He has swept many things under the rug, and one day, he has to leave for an unknown reason. The countries know he has secrets, but how many, and are they important? Dangerous? He was never open with another country, always ignoring their questions. So, the nations look through his bag as a result and find something interesting... (;-; Context time. Don't expect routinely or fast updates. Not that big brain. America is the oldest between Canada, Mexico, and himself, Mexico being the baby. Canon can just screw off- cause imma be including some slight OOC moments, but for the majority he is in character, or just slightly out of it. This is history based but will be historically inaccurate at times. This is basically a normal 'cOuNtRiEs rEaDiNg DiArYs' story because I have headcanons and no life, and, America is my favorite ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Thanks for reading if you do, completely understand if ya don't C:)) I'm noticing this story is very historically inaccurate, i mess up times and just am dumb, so, do your own research if you wanna, but don't think what I'm saying is gospel. Cover art is by me! Do not steal! A realm where countryhumans exist, rivals, coalitions, and relationships toss this story of them through tons of unexpected ups and downs. But for now, you'll be following the story of everyone's favorite North American, Canada. After his father made some horrible mistakes while he was a child it puts a wedge in the family that only those two know about. But as he grows older the effects of The Asylum (a place of suffering for Countryhumans after death) take a toll on how he treats others. And after countries get revived from the Asylum by a mysterious cure the majority of the time they gain a physical feature such as wings, or maybe another animal characteristic. On rare cases, there can be magical abilities gained that outweigh any sort of supernatural physicality. But Canada wasn't too lucky, and just got a pair of large wings. To hide the past from other countries, Britain does everything he can to keep the knowledge of them away from everyone, even if it causes loads of pain on his son's body. In this story each countryhuman has a stone with their flag on it. It's one of the most precious things to them because of their stone get damaged or put in the wrong hands bad things can happen. If another country gets a hold of it, the countryhuman that the stone originally belonged to gets chainlocked. Meaning that the country who got their stone has complete control of them, and to show it physically a thick metal bracelet is placed around one of their wrists. ⚠️Also no warnings on ships, so be prepared for anything. Matthew's doorway to change came to him in the form a woman who held up a mirror to him and showed him who he really was.She was a very fit, blonde, blue eyed, intelligent woman who was originally Russian. Victoria had seen more of life than Matthew had ever imagined. Victoria had imagined the un-imaginable and achieved it. She is still doing all those things that us mere observers have yet to have the courage to understand or commit to. He engaged. He pandered, he devoted himself, and in the end, Victoria devastated him. He was emotionally crushed. Matthew was heartbroken and the tears would not stop. He had a desire, but not the will to commit suicide. In the car he would wail. In the shower he would buckle and cry. In the aftermath, Matthew would steel his nerves with anti anxiety medication and long, long walks around the New South Wales city of Newcastle. From the house his parents owned to the city, to the beach and anywhere in between. He needed to be occupied, he needed to be tired. The construction workers would be listening to a sad some song on the radio (Dean Lewis - Be Alright, that's a good one to cry to), and he would want to stop and physically break down on the grass verge and go no further. Matthew needed to reconcile with best person he had ever meet. So, what was reflected in Matthews mirrored doorway? What door way was opened for him to look beyond his world view, and importantly how did it take so many years for him to see the person he was? Is this a love story? Yes. For Matthew absolutely. For Victoria, no. She did not love or care for him, and we can only guess that Matthew was company for a short period of time, and that amounted to 9 months of wonder, snoring, emotional roller coasting, photography, Salsa dancing, camping, trekking, long drives and fitness. Awesome!

Jones, and beaten up by other countries and nations just to 'get even with America'. Everybody thinks Canada is a weak country, that it's never seen war, that its people have never died for a cause. Canada decides to not go to a meeting one day to help his air force practice in case of an emergency. When the countries and nations realize he isn't there, they find a strange book instead. They decide to read it and find a note on the inside. Will everyone realize that maybe some ignore Canada because he makes them uncomfortable? Or is it just because he is usually peaceful? The book holds many secrets about Canada, some probably should be left in the dark, but only if the nations react badly. Okay, disclaimer, probably not terrible secrets, but this will be interesting. But will reading the book really help?

The two countries had been through quite a considerable bunch, ups and downs alike. However, when war and crisis break out, it's difficult to keep their relationship in check , saying both have to mend to their own or ally's wounds, or deal with conflicts between their enemies. Conclusions and resolutions play a dramatic role as it determines the relationship between the two; it could either deteriorate reliance or openly express participation. Can the two neighboring countries remain side-by-side through all their struggles? Or will they break ties with the other, never to establish their trust again?
