Dinosaurs roamed the Earth over 65 million years ago, but in 1993, a man by the name of John Hammond with the help of geneticist introduced them to a new world. He brought in several people to the island of Isla Nublar in order to endorse the idea of a dinosaur theme park. A park where people could interact with living and breathing dinosaurs. Among those people were Dr. Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler. The park trial failed resulting in death and the shut down of Jurassic Park. In 2015, Simon Masrani and his company Masrani Global had shown their interpretation of John Hammond's dream with Jurassic World amusement park operating in full swing. However, the park went into full chaos when a hybrid called the Indominus Rex escaped and wreaked havoc all over until it was stopped by heroes Keira Grant and Owen Grady with the help of friends and trusty (somewhat) velociraptors. Jurassic World was in shambles and was turned into a sanctuary, redesigned to protect the dinosaurs. After hitting a few speed bumps, Isla Nublar became a safe haven. Jurassic World was created for everyone to see what it was like when dinosaurs roamed the earth. But they went too far. Simon Masrani, owner of Jurassic World, wanted nothing more than to have his daughter, whom he was very close too, to see their new attraction. He thought this would be a perfect bonding moment in the terrifying amusement park just like they use to do every couple of years. Maliha "Mal" Masrani loved the dinosaurs and cared for them since they were hatched, especially the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
