Music. It's everywhere. To Spencer Wayland, it's a way of life. But, of course, everybody's perception of life is influenced by how successful they become. One could say after selling a few thousand records after his debut album ... Spencer undoubtedly had every reason to believe music was a way of life. Following one riveting concert, though, his whole world shatters before his eyes. After becoming involved physically with his guitarist and accidentally taking his life, he now lives with the overwhelming guilt of his death. Though it was ruled as a freak accident, a mere mystery with no perpetrator, Spencer can't escape the psychological chains beating him down. The day his late bandmate's image begins to invade his mind only makes his grief all the more insufferable.

Larkin Knolls is a superhero. Combine that with being a sophomore in high school, and she's got her calendar booked. Homework, crime fighting, and the occasional binge movie marathon leave her no free time. At all.
When a series of assassination attempts occur in her town, Larkin knows something's up. Only another super such as herself could have stayed in hiding for so long. There must be a villain on the loose.
However, not everything is black and white. The line between good and evil is blurred, and the villain might not be as evil as she originally thought.
