On Noria, survival comes at a cost-one that can never be repaid.

Seventeen-year-old Apollo Hovrick has spent his life trapped under ExoReach's rule, where every breath, every meal, and even birth and death come with a price. No one owns anything, and families sacrifice themselves to erase the crushing debt passed from one generation to the next.

When Apollo discovers a girl outside the dome-a place deemed uninhabitable-his world shatters. Evyn's existence is impossible, yet she and her people thrive beyond the White Desert. As he unravels the truth about Noria, Apollo must decide: remain a cog in the system or risk everything for a life beyond the dome.

Long ago, way before our time. A weary traveler left home to find new land for his family to thrive off of. Drought engulfed almost all of Elysium, called The Great Heat. The man traveled far and wide just to find a sign of life anywhere. It took him days and several hundred miles to find anything worth nourishment and care. He braved sand storms and blistering heat, his throat was dry and his feet could hardly carry him any farther. He collapsed onto the ground, his hands burning under the heat of the crackled ground. His vision blurred and mirages played with his suffering senses. His mind projected a tree into his line of vision, withering away but it's branches holding a single fruit. Besides his beliefs of it being a figment of his imagination, he crawled his way to it, bringing himself under the weak shade that it provided. He looked at the glistening purple fruit, what was it? He reached up to grab it, expecting it to fall through the image projected before him. His fingers wrapped around the fruit and he picked it from the branch. It was real! The fruit was real. He eagerly bit into the fruit and its juices trickled down his chin. He sat back and relaxed as the food nourished his body, he drank of its juices and picked out its many seeds, collecting them. He dug a deep hole until he felt moisture in the soil, planting the seeds into the ground. As it grew over time, the man used the old tree to build his home around the new one, tending to it religiously until it beared fruit. He brought his family and they lived there, planting trees and passing on the seeds for other places to spring life. Within five years the drought was over, Elysium was breathing again."

The dome, a sanctuary for many in a frozen hell of a planet called Aurelith, constructed and "maintained" by NeuroCore, a corrupt medical and pharmaceutical company gone mining exploitation of resources and people for yet unknown purposes. The people in it are known as the Moles. The dome is one of many other colonies around Aurelith, each working to the bone to fulfill the quotas assigned to them, with harsh punishments should they fail to succeed. Among them, one man, Viktor Lu'bierre, who arrived on this planet under mysterious circumstances 1 year prior, and his continued presence has stirred change for the people and parts of the world itself. No one knows what his purpose is, or what led him to Aurelith. And through comradery and collaboration, people still see him with an air of suspicion, well earned for his less than usual methods of "getting things done." The planet holds many secrets, buried between miles of ice and snow. Storm and electromagnetic anomalies hide the northern side of the planet, and what lies beyond the dead lands still remains unknown, as not even the best probes have been able to punch through the thick and mud of the thick, deadly hair up there.
