Maybe, in Another Timeline is a one-sided SilvAmy (Silver x Amy) fanfiction that follows Silver, a time-traveling hedgehog who has been in love with Amy Rose for years. But fate has never been kind to him. Before he ever had the chance to confess, she fell in love with someone else-Blaze.
Now, Silver is left to watch from the sidelines, heart aching as he witnesses the love of his life build a future with another. But heartbreak isn't the only thing weighing on him. The future has once again fallen into chaos, overthrown by Dr. Robotnik, forcing Silver to travel back in time to set things right.
As he navigates the past, he finds himself by Amy's side once more, just as he promised he always would be. His mission is clear: protect her, keep her safe, and above all, make sure she's happy-even if it means burying his own feelings deeper than ever.
Even if it means losing her all over again.

He doesn't enjoy being around people, particularly Sonic due to his annoyingly enthusiastic personality contrasting to his own serious, focused one. No one has ever been able to make Shadow feel the way Maria has. No one has been able to make him hope again. On the night of Princess Sally's Birthday Ball, a truth is revealed to Amy about Sonic.
