War and Yin talked once and decided never to do it again. It was an unspoken rule. They did it voluntarily and naturally, like breathing. They sat beside each other, despised each other's existence in complete silence, and liked it that way.

One night, War, fresh from a breakup that could have ended humanity-or at least his dignity-and with just enough alcohol in his system to make VERY questionable choices, made the worst decision possible. He borrowed Earth's phone to call Tay. Except, somehow, a total stranger picked up.
