The Vows Were Never Mine to Make.
Yet, I spoke them.
Softly.
Like a whisper against my own execution.
A signature on paper.
A name bound to a man.
A promise that was never truly mine to give.
I was never supposed to belong to him.
And yet, here I stand, a bride dressed in white...
White, as if it could wash away the sins of this marriage.
White, as if it could hide the fire burning beneath my skin.
They said vows are meant to protect, to honor.
But what happens when vows become a cage?
When they become chains that tighten with every step I take?
I thought I had a choice.
I thought I could escape.
