I fix villains for a living. Well, "fix" is a strong word. I mostly just listen to them rant about their tragic backstories and questionable life choices.

But then Agent Murkoff-grumpy, overworked, and way too good-looking for my peace of mind-walks into my office. Not to arrest me. Not to interrogate me. But to ask for a session.

I should say no. I should absolutely, 100% not start enjoying his visits. And I definitely shouldn't be wondering what it would take to make him smile for real.

He's just another client. I keep telling myself that.

Too bad my heart isn't listening.
