They had nothing, yet when Gu Yichen offered them his last piece of bread, they gave their lives to protect him.

And in the end, they all died.

But when Gu Yichen opened his eyes again, he was back five years before the apocalypse, with only three weeks left until the world fell apart.

This time, he would rise before the apocalypse began. He would hunt down his betrayers before they had a chance to strike. He would find the twins and the ex-military man before fate turned them into sacrifices. Most of all, he would embrace his devouring ability-the power he once feared-because in this new world, the strong lived and the weak were swallowed whole.
