But lately, something inside Chase had shifted. It wasn't loud or dramatic - more like a quiet warmth blooming in his chest whenever Marshall laughed, or the way his heartbeat stumbled when their shoulders brushed. He didn't fully understand it yet, didn't have the language for it, but the feeling was there... steady, insistent, impossible to ignore.
