"Doomsday is close at hand I'll book the marching band To play as you speak I'll feel like throwin' up You'll sit and stare Like a goddamn machine I'd like to plan out my part in this But you're such a narcissist You'll probably do it next week I don't get a choice in the matter Why would I? It's only the death of me" or Wally Clark and Vivienne Collette were a match made in heaven - the classic football player and cheerleader duo everyone admired. Every guy at school wanted Vivienne, and every girl wanted Wally, but their eyes were only ever on each other. They were the perfect couple... until death got in the way. Now, in the afterlife, Wally and Vivienne are reunited - stuck in the halls of the high school they never got to graduate from. Their lives were stolen too soon, but they've been given a second chance: not to live again, but to find purpose in the place they left behind. As Vivienne struggles to accept her own death, she and Wally are drawn into the mystery surrounding a newly arrived ghost girl - a classmate trying to solve her own murder. Together, they'll uncover secrets, chase the truth, and discover that even in death, love still lingers... and so do the lies.
