Olivia Amant was used to the loneliness of her life after her parents died when she was 10. She was determined to take care of herself and be on her own. Things changed when she crashed into Sam Winchester's life and he became her first friend she had since she was a child. She stuck by his side and they became inseparable. She stood by and watched him fall in love for the first time, even though she loved him first. He supported her in becoming an artist, and she dove headfirst into it at his assurance. Their friendship continued to prove to be true and strong.

Sam Winchester was a supernatural hunter, not by choice, though. He and his older brother, Dean, were forced into it by their father, John Winchester. Sam eventually had enough and left that life behind to build himself a normal life. He met Olivia, and he felt safe with her, so safe that he told her about the life he ran from. His first real love died tragically, and Olivia refused to leave his side during his time of grief, but they both knew one thing.

No good could come of her being mixed into his messy past, but he couldn't help but let her come along, and eventually tell her he loved her. When harm comes for her, Sam begins to panic. The life he wanted and the life he needed to go back to were colliding, with Olivia was in the crossfire. And this was only the beginning...
