Kwamis, powerful beings born with each new force in the universe, have existed since the beginning of time. The first was Tikki, the Kwami of Creation, balanced by Plagg, the Kwami of Destruction. Eons later, the Miraculouses were forged, magical jewels that granted Kwamis physical form.

When the Ladybug Earrings and Black Cat Ring were used together, a wish was made, destroying and remaking the universe. To prevent another catastrophe, the Phoenix Brooch was created, giving form to Flairre, the Kwami of Stability, the guardian of balance between creation and destruction.
