Between Two Streets

Kaia Williams has lived her entire life balancing two very different worlds: Beverly Hills, where she faces new difficulties and possibilities, and her hometown of Crenshaw, where her roots are deeply ingrained. She is adjusting to a new social setting at Beverly by juggling friendships, her studies, and the expectations that come with being in a new setting. But she will always have a place in her heart for Crenshaw, no matter how far she goes. It is not easy to balance these two realities. She is surrounded by her lifelong friends in Crenshaw, but she also observes the challenges that accompany this. She is attempting to blend in with Beverly without losing her identity. Despite everything, Kaia is committed to remaining loyal to herself, pursuing her own goals while clinging to the two worlds that helped shape her.
