Where It Always Snows

Shalebrook: a suburban town located in a mountain pass, in Chime County, Washington State, USA.

To many, it's a confusing place. The weather is chilly eleven months out of the year, its roads are slick, and its inhabitants are strange. If you live there, you might agree with the outsiders, because nearly every day something extraordinary happens.

The Husks, despite being the richest family in Shalebrook, have an interest in photography and their legacy outside the mountains is nearly nonexistent.

A child continuously dies and resurrects, seemingly for no reason other than a living, unbreakable curse.

Underneath the shopping district and school is a warping, liminal space. The perfect meeting place for a group possessing super-human powers. The hideout of a secret society, the Moving Men, ruled by their enigmatic Queen.

The humans themselves don't know this, but aliens live among them. They definitely conspire, we all do, but they don't yearn for takeover... they simply wish to exist. No one can know about them.

Something lurks deep in the woods, something noble and fair. Something straight from a parable. Something that watches, that forgot how to speak. Something the werewolves warned of long ago.

The only reason no one else knows what goes down is because Shalebrook is the most secluded town in the county. Social media changes nothing.
