"I know you, Alex."
His fingers traced the line of my jaw, shivers erupting in their wake.
"I know you better than you know yourself."
His touch was lethal, cold but maddeningly addictive.
"How can you say that?" I rasped through ragged breaths.
"I just know."
His fingers traveled down to my neck, caressing my fragile skin until they reached my pulse.
"I just know," He pressed harder onto my pulse, hard enough to hurt, "That you can't tell if you need me, or you need to get away from me. That every inch of your being is screaming at you to run."
His entire hand suddenly clasped around my throat.
"And I just know," I struggled against him, no match for his otherworldly strength.
"That you will never escape me."
