Ten years after leaving their Catholic boarding school, three former classmates meet up at the headmistress's retirement, and find the past still has resonances in the present. This started as my attempt at the Open Novella Contest 2021 (20,000-40,000 words. This is at the upper end of this range.) It all started six years ago when nine year old Alice turned on the television . She got on the music channel. At this point, there have shown a high clip , attractive brunette with a gorgeous voice. She sang only about ....... umbrella. Alice could not understand that sings about this beauty , because it is still very bad know English . But Alice once madly liked the song and its performer . Each new day Alice hurried to the TV screen , that would once again see his favorite . And then one day , Alice decided that she wanted to be like the diva singing about umbrellas . With each passing day , the love for the music of Alice more and more growing. It is neither of the day could not be carried out without music. Many dream and invented . Well, no harm in dreaming .
