In a world where the color of your eyes determines your worth, Red eyes, were the last thing anyone wants. Red eyes, no matter how good of a person you might be, will always make you a monster.
Nothing else mattered other than eyes, they were the deciding factor for everything. Saturation levels coincided with strength, luminosity with potential, proximity to Red, Yellow, or Blue dictated the individual's power.. Yellow was often desirable for the sheer number of powerful people, as well as their wits and energy. Blue was sought after for their high saturation and luminosity, but their often caring and hard working nature made them the ideal candidate for continuing a blood line.

Reds were avoided and killed for their explosive, unpredictable, and almost always violent reactions. Reds, ever prone to danger, are often a source of harm to themselves and others. However, they don't normally have high or saturation levels, which deems them less of a threat on a day-to-day basis. But...
On the off, near zero chance, that they have high levels of saturation and luminosity... They're labeled death fodder from birth, often being killed when those first fringes of that disgusting crimson are seen behind their lashes..
