Meadow Winslow has spent her life on the sidelines-observing, learning, enduring. Being mute in a world that never slows down for her has made her tough, but it's also made her careful. Careful about who she lets in, careful about the fights she picks, careful about the secrets she keeps.

But then there's Atlas Linden. Mysterious, brooding, and way too good at pretending she doesn't exist. What started as an unexpected connection between them shattered the night Meadow found him in the last place she ever expected.

Atlas thought he could stay away. He thought he could keep her safe by keeping her out of his world. But when Meadow finally stops waiting for him to let her in he realizes that silence has never been his ally.

Because some echoes are too loud to ignore. And some people are impossible to forget.

"What's your problem?" He asks darkly. "What's your problem?" I spit back. "Why do you keep following me?" He hisses. "I don't follow you!" I shout back. "Then how come where ever I go you end up going or being there?" He questions in a raised voice. "Its a coincidence." I say back in the same tone. He then moves forward towards me, and I take a step back but my back hits the brick wall. He puts his arms up his palms against the wall caging me in looking into my eyes. I won't look at him though, I look to the ground scared. "Just leave me alone...stay away." He whispers in my ear before he walks away to his car with his head down. -- When Dylan accidentally bumps into Mason in school things change.
