Kayte Knox has lived in San Diego, California all of her life. She never planned on moving, and she never thought her family would get torn apart. She was happy living in a condo during the school year, and a beach house during the summer. She was happy having her mother and her father and her little brother. But her world got torn apart in January of 2014. And her world fell out of the sky in April of 2015. Her mother was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer, and sixteen months later passed away. In an attempt to run away from his problems, Kayte's dad, Marcus, moves across the country to Cleveland, Ohio. In another attempt to solve his problems, Marcus turns into a drug and alcohol addict. And, eventually, starts to abuse Kayte and her little brother Kyle. Kyle isn't sure what happened to his mother, but he knows that she is gone, and will never be coming back. The only thing that Kyle has to remind him of his mother is a picture, and a story only Kayte knows how to tell. . . . (***UNEDITED***)

Dead End

Apollo is glad to say that he came back from the dead. Twice. He isn't too happy about nearly dying twice, but being a ghost wasn't so bad. It all begins one cloudless, summer day... He is rock climbing, as usual, and a challenge against an arch enemy goes horribly wrong, and Apollo ends up in the hospital. But his stay lengthens as he is thrown into a series of wrenching dreams and visions that threaten his life further. When his consciousness is pinned, as a ghost, to a remote castle in England, and his rival in the real world stabs his body to death, it raises a heart wrenching question. Will Apollo ever make it back to his body?
