As the wind rushed in her feathers, Amara was dropping in altitude, she broke through the clouds and soon gazed upon the land. From there, everything seemed small, unimportant and she was free to go where she wanted.
Freedom wasn't a present bestowed by the valar, but a right that all living creatures had, and the Lady of the Sky more than anyone valued that freeedom. So when Sauron, the dark lord, tried to take it away and plunge the world in misery, the eagle-woman decided to fight.
