She buys an excellent new home for an exceptional price. It's worth much more, but the low cost is probably due to the basement flooding or something. 
While moving in, she meets Jamie Beckingham, the sweet seven year old who lives in the neighborhood. 
Jesse spends much of her time with Jamie, because Jamie's mother works constantly.
Jesse notices something about Jamie. Something off.
Once she starts investigating, she realizes Jamie might not be as sweet as she thought.

This story is not getting the attention it deserves, so I am attempting to "re-brand" it. Maybe no one "gets" it. If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that. Who watched his father lose his job in the Recession and then loses his home, and how he copes, especially when he learns that their new house is haunted and the ghost is in his room.
