Saïx and Axel were once close friends, but clearly that meant nothing. None of that matters now, the keyblade war is upon them, though they ended up on different sides. Saïx just wanted to be wanted, or even needed. Instead, he'll be used. Axel just wants his friend to come home. The past does mean something to the both of them, though neither will say it out loud.
