Music Only the Silent Can Hear

Lyra May was devastated at the death of her four-year-old brother, Theodore, but she is convinced that showing any signs of grief would mean admitting that he's gone, and she isn't sure she is ready to do that.

After her tenth grade school year ends, her mother decides to send Lyra to live with her Aunt Lucy for the summer, in hopes to give Lyra space to grieve in her own way. Aunt Lucy lives in
San Diego, California, on one of the most beautiful private beaches in the state, but it's the last place that Lyra wants to go.

As the summer begins, Lyra starts to cross paths with the neighbor boy, Lennon. He has a voice that mixes perfectly with the cool ocean breeze, and his guitar playing is so beautiful it steals her breath, but the lyrics he sings begin uncovering something in Lyra that she worked so hard to cover up. Suddenly Lyra is forced to face the pain of losing her brother, and also the question: Is love ever enough?
