Hello, welcome it's my first story so hope you all enjoy reading.
The story is about a girl named Rod who finds a small, frightened kitten on the street and decides to take it home. As the kitten, named Whiskers, grows, the bond between them strengthens, and they share many moments of companionship. However, as Whiskers becomes more independent, Rod faces the challenge of keeping her safe, especially when Whiskers unexpectedly runs outside into a busy street. Despite the scare, the relationship between Rod and Whiskers continues to flourish, with Whiskers eventually deciding it's time to explore the world on her own. The story is about love, care, and the bittersweet nature of letting go when the time is right.
It's a short story btw.

The moment she noticed her handler forgot to lock the door behind him, she wasted no time making a run for it. There's only one problem though. She had no clue where she was. Surrounded by endless trees she was stripped of having any sense of direction but that didn't stop her motives. The girl began her journey and ran for what felt like hours, stumbling upon a small abandoned home camouflaged deep in the woods. No second thoughts, she took shelter. Soon it's discovered that the home was indeed not abandoned but already claimed by someone.
