Sam and Dean are brothers whose lives were forever changed by the loss of their parents. Sam ran from his past, trying to leave the hunting and the pain behind, while Dean stayed behind, continuing to fight monsters and his own demons. But five years later, their paths cross again when Dean ends up in the hospital and Sam returns to save him... and maybe himself. Their reunion proves to be a test as years of separation, unspoken resentments, and past pain resurface, threatening to destroy what little remains between them. But when darkness rises again, the brothers must make a choice - continue to fight each other or unite in the face of impending danger. To survive, they must not only regain trust, but also discover if they can become a family again.
