The first day at a new school was supposed to be nerve-wracking, but I had my priorities straight: stay low-key, avoid unnecessary drama, and, most importantly, keep my new white blouse stain-free for at least a day.

Apparently, the universe had other plans.

Because instead of smoothly blending in, I found myself standing in the middle of the bustling cafeteria, drenched in lukewarm coffee, with a six-foot-tall rooster-haired volleyball jock staring down at me like I was some kind of rare species.

That's how I met Tetsurou Kuroo.
